✨ Hello! ✨

I'm a visual and product designer with a fascination for human behaviour and ambition to tackle new challenges. I share a deep interest & curiosity in the effects technology continues to have on people’s demands and lifestyles. With a focus on human-centred approach, I believe every experience begins from the eye and resonates in the heart.

I am a graduate of Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, B.C. with a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Interactive Arts + Technology and a minor in print & digital publishing.
I previously took on design co-ops at Big Room Inc., BlackBerry, Intuit Canada and Tealeaves.
Currently, I am working full-time at Yelp as a Product Designer.

My self-taught hobbies inspire me to take on new skills and exercise my creative abilities. When I'm not immersed in projects or getting inspired at local craft fairs, I'm tinkering in the world of illustration, calligraphy and sewing.

My testimonials

Emily is an excellent UX designer with a strong focus on visual and interaction design. She really took ownership of her projects and worked hard to ensure she delivered a quality product. She always approaches design from a users perspective and is passionate about producing a product experience like no other. I highly recommend working with Emily as she is always ready for a challenge and is able to bring fresh ideas to the table.
— Andrew T., Senior UX Designer at BlackBerry
Emily is a hugely talented designer, blending skills in graphic design, illustration and user experience. Her aesthetic has helped shape and define our brand. Emily is one of the rare designers who also has the technical skills to roll up her sleeves and implement her designs in HTML and CSS. She is hard-working and reliable, able to work independently and be self-directed.
— Owen R., managed Emily at Big Room Inc.
